Testflight & App Setup
Before you can start taking jobs or dispatching crews, there are a few quick steps to get your NearbyCrew account ready. This includes setting up your profile, verifying your identity, and enabling the essential permissions that allow Luna AI to guide you in real time. Think of this as laying the foundation. Once complete, you’ll be fully equipped to accept jobs, track progress, and get paid without delays.

Download Testflight App From App Store

It's crucial that you follow this guide exactly in order since testflight is known to have issues otherwise.
Download Testflight from the app store, this is how we will be distributing Luna AI during development.
It handles releasing of new features, bug fixes and crash reporting to us safely through Apple. Let's make it amazing for our customers at launch!

Congrats on making it this far! The hardest part is behind you. Now to the good stuff.
Before you can sign up for NearbyCrew you have to create a free Luna Avatar account.
You must setup location permission, Push Notitifcations, Avatar Account (Email + Password - this email address will be your primary)

Crew Member Sign Up
Whether you’re a Crew Member on the ground or a Dispatcher managing jobs, the flow is designed to be simple, consistent, and AI-assisted. Luna keeps everything in sync so both sides always see the same status.
STEP 1

Create Your NearbyCrew Profile
Connecting your bank through Stripe’s Connect platform may occasionally trigger a short review period, but it’s usually quick and completed within 24 hours. If you have any questions, feel free to message us on the Public Forum at any time!
You can launch NearbyCrew Studio anytime by tapping your Avatar icon in the top-right corner, scrolling down, and selecting the “NearbyCrew Studio” tile.

Getting Ready To Receive Job Requests
Luna also monitors app activity and prioritizes crew members who are more engaged, ensuring maximum responsiveness for customers.

Accepting & Navigating Job Requests
Luna will only send you notifications for the job types you’ve signed up for, but the map will display all available job types in your area.
You can accept jobs in two ways: Luna will send you an exclusive push notification when it’s your turn for dispatch. If you miss or decline that opportunity, you can also pan the map to discover and claim other available jobs in your area.

Clear and professional communication keeps jobs running smoothly and builds trust with customers. Luna AI provides in-app tools to make this simple and safe.

Trust your instincts: if something feels unsafe, pause the job and contact support.

Use the in-app report tool for:

All reports are logged and reviewed by NearbyCrew support.

The app includes a built-in Emergency Button that connects you to local emergency services.
Use this immediately if you feel threatened, unsafe, or encounter an accident.
On-Site Best Practices
Stay visible — avoid entering dark or unmarked areas alone.
Keep personal protective equipment handy (gloves, flashlight, reflective vest if applicable).
For roadside or outdoor jobs: park safely, use hazard lights, and stay aware of traffic.
